Tandy’s 20 help Jacksonville State beat Florida International 77-75

MIAMI (AP) — KyKy Tandy had 20 points in Jacksonville State’s 77-75 victory over Florida International on Saturday night.

Jacksonville State had a 77-69 lead with 1:42 and held on to win.

Tandy shot 7 for 11 (2 for 4 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free throw line for the Gamecocks (14-14, 6-7 Conference USA). Marcellus Brigham Jr. was 5 of 7 shooting, including 4 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 1 for 3 from the line to add 15 points. Andres Burney shot 5 of 9 from the field to finish with 12 points.

Arturo Dean led the way for the Panthers (9-19, 4-9) with 19 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Florida International also got 16 points, four assists and two steals from Javaunte Hawkins. Petar Krivokapic also recorded 13 points.
