Cook scores 17 in New Mexico State’s 67-65 win over Jacksonville State

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — Christian Cook had 17 points and made two free throws with 12 seconds left to rally New Mexico State to a 67-65 victory over Jacksonville State on Saturday night.

Cook shot 6 for 11, including 3 for 6 from beyond the arc for the Aggies (11-12, 5-3 Conference USA). Jordan Rawls scored 14 points, going 5 of 11 (2 for 5 from 3-point range). Kaosi Ezeagu finished 6 of 7 from the floor to finish with 12 points, while adding eight rebounds.

Quincy Clark led the way for the Gamecocks (11-12, 3-5) with 16 points and five assists. Jacksonville State also got 13 points and two steals from KyKy Tandy. Juwan Perdue also had 12 points and 12 rebounds.
